Goshen Theater’s multi-million dollar renovation will add luster to city’s downtown

The long-anticipated renovation of the Goshen Theater is soon upon us.

The 2019 River Bend Film Festival, from May 2-4, will be the last public event at the theater before the construction work begins.

“Hammers swing May 6,” theater director Amber Burgess said in a presentation to Vibrant Communities supporters.

Burgess recently gave a live video tour of the Goshen Theater that was broadcast on Facebook. She described the renovation plans and showed how the interior of the theater would be changed.

About $4.2 million in Improvements are planned for the Goshen Theater. They include an expanded and improved lobby area for concessions and better flow for incoming visitors, additional bathroom space, an elevator and enhanced accessibility, a new sound system, and improved entry into the auditorium.
