Kim Clarke and the rest of the Middlebury Then & Now group didn’t just take a fun idea and run with it. They rolled with it.
The first Middlebury Pumpkin Races on Oct. 14, 2017, was — ahem — a smash. Families, kids and businesses and even the fire department attached wheels to pumpkins they decorated as witches, fire trucks and princesses. If you were on Warren Street that day, you knew it was magic.
