Leah Schroeder, the director of Goshen Youth Arts, says adult artists were jealous when they learned about her latest project.

“Faces: Portraits from our Community” linked 10 artists from three local school systems (Goshen, Bethany Christian and Elkhart) to exchange pictures of themselves with each other and then produce portraits in whatever medium they desired. The resulting exhibit is stunning. It opened for public viewing at Goshen’s First Fridays festival on Feb. 2, 2018, at Goshen Youth Arts, 324 S. Fifth St., Goshen. It will then move on to be on exhibition at the Goshen Public Library.

One artist produce anime-style portraits. Another used coffee as their medium. Others delved in a different medium for each portrait.
