What does it mean to love where you live?

Elkhart County is bursting with creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship, with distinctive small businesses and talented artists and creators in all our cities and towns. Despite COVID-19, our downtowns have been lively. But, more than ever, our neighborhoods can be our sanctuary.

No matter what you value in a neighborhood — parks to sit or play in, blocks where you can enjoy a walk or go for a jog, or homes full of neighbors who look out for each other and enjoy each other’s company — things can be even better. Now is the time to put a little extra love back into the block where you live.

Join us for our next Community Champions Roundtable — a free Zoom workshop to learn about Vibrant Neighborhoods and how you and your neighbors can access resources and get more involved. The session with be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, October 29, via Zoom conference call.

Speakers include Daniela Panetta, community building specialist with La Casa; Bernice Radle, a neighborhood developer and owner of Buffalove Development of Buffalo, N.Y.; and Sally Bawtinheimer of Elkhart. There will also be time for a question-and-answer session.
