Making Elkhart County’s Vibrant Neighborhoods even better

Neighborhoods are the lifeblood of Elkhart County’s communities. From getting together for backyard barbecues, helping each other out while raking leaves, or just watching our kids grow up together, our neighbors often become our best friends.

Building stronger connections

To foster a spirit of community kinship and neighborliness, the Vibrant Neighborhoods initiative offers education, resources and microgrants to help groups of people who live close to each other come together. Vibrant Neighborhoods commit to doing three things:

Get to know each other better.
Do some things together that are enjoyable and fun.
Make where they live a little nicer looking.

Dream up a little (or big) idea

Get your neighbors together for something you’ve all always wanted to do. In 2021 we gave micro-grants of $500 to help you make it happen. Plans for 2022 are still in the works. Subscribe to our newsletter to get the latest details.
